GDG provided A/E services for a new parking garage for Bobby Rahal Automotive Group (Owner). The plans called for a 92,980GSF, 3 -Level Precast Parking Garage to be erected adjacent to the existing Mercedes Benz dealership along Baum Blvd. The owner wished to make maximum use of the 33,000 square foot lot with as much parking as possible, as the expanding dealership planned to use the garage to house and show new and used cars. Brick and other exterior colors and architectural treatments were selected to match/complement the existing dealership building.
In addition to street level access, cars can be moved directly from inside the dealership building to the garage by a garage door opening. The rear of the building faces a quiet residential street. Screens at openings on this side add security, reduce nighttime glare from lighting in the garage, and improve aesthetics for residents across the street.
