This project for Carnegie Mellon University came under our on-call term service contract. It consisted of a “fast track construction” build out of approximately 25,000 square feet of unfinished, unassigned space in the lower level of the newly built University Center. New finished space contains facilities for a new Career Center (6000 sq. ft.), a Central Contract Post Office (6000sq. ft.), Student Lounge and Recreational Area and additional food service with seating (6000sq. ft.), corridors and mechanical area make up the balance of the space.

The Career Center contains office space for 21 staff and 4 interns, 19 interview rooms, a lobby/reception area with library waiting area and an employee lounge. The Post Office contains a public lobby, 4 customer service stations, package and mail drop off facilities, a separate package pick up station, 6400 mail boxes, sorting area, staff offices, work stations and package storage area. The Student Lounge and Recreational Area contains a Game Room (Video, Pool Tables, Shuffle Board), Casual Lounge, a Snack Bar and a multi-purpose area for snack seating, lounge and performance space.
